Writing a song for Amanda Palmer!

Last weekend DIY artist extraordinaire Amanda Palmer issued a week long songwriting competition over on her Patreon page. Being big fans of her music and ethos it was only right that Kat took up this challenge.

Amanda was asking for a song to be written based on an article she read about the recent New York blackouts, where performers took to the streets and ladies were asked to stop taking selfies. Everybody had a week to channel their inner Amanda.

Cue a new song by Kat called “Power Failure” a catchy acoustic rock number about the blackouts, but also a political metaphor and hints of feminism to boot.
