He got a lot of criticism and we decided to weigh in on this argument, looking at it from a DIY band that did go down the traditional routes of making albums and touring, until recently switching to a different approach.

A lot of the ethos of Boxtape has been about trying new ways to navigate an ever changing industry. We personally found the traditional routes were becoming harder and harder to use and make work for us as a band.

We'd love to know your thoughts, do you still buy physical music? Are you more interested in merch? Subscriptions, crowdfunding and all that jazz?
