Our Mad World Is Electro
This is our version of the Tears for Fears classic Mad World!
If we're honest, Kat has had terrible flu for the last couple of weeks and hasn't been able to sing, but we still really wanted to put out a music video of some kind.
What do they say? Limitations breed creativity!
We decided from the outset to use a vocoder for this reason, as well as some lovely subtle acoustic guitar. Overall this turned into a retro electro cover reminiscent of Pink Floyd in places.
The video was made using a motion capture of Kieren's face singing along to the track, which turned out pretty cool! We could have rendered in a realistic face but we thought the wireframe added to the retro aesthetic.
